Plain version: the online estimate is a ballpark, my invoice is the real number, and you pay when the job is done.

Estimates aren’t bids

The quick estimate on this site is a rough price range to help you plan. It isn’t a binding bid or contract. I firm up the price after we talk or I see the property, and I send you a final quote before I start.

Pricing

I price by the job, and my minimum to show up is $500.
Materials like gravel, topsoil and fill aren’t included unless the quote says so.
The final price is the amount on the invoice I send you after the job.

Payment

Payment is due when the job is done, from the invoice I send you. You can pay by card through Square, or by cash or check. The only exception is a job where I have to buy a lot of materials up front; then I’ll ask for the materials cost before I start. Quotes are never bills.

What I don’t do

No tree work (cutting, felling or trimming standing trees) and no forestry mulching. Debris and rubble are piled or buried on site; haul-off isn’t available yet.

Before any digging: call 811

Alabama law requires a utility locate before digging. Call 811 (Alabama 811) at least two working days before the job so buried lines get marked. Please also point out anything private that isn’t marked by 811, like septic tanks, sprinkler lines, or buried power to a shop or well.
